Jade Baynes (SHINE Alumni) - Actress, Singer, dancer
Jade is a Shine alumni and is now an actress, dancer and singer hitting the screens and stages all over oz (#famous). Jade’s most recent work was on the stan series ‘Invisible Boys”, and just last week she announced her new stage role in the musical ‘The Book of Mormons’.
Jade completed school and went on to study her Diploma of Dance. After this she began to find her place in musical theatre. Jade saw the opportunities that were starting to emerge and found herself auditioning for amazing roles. It hasn’t all been peachy though. Jade speaks openly about the challenges, and the determination she needed to navigate the industry as a young women. But, Jades dream is now a reality and she wanted to share her journey with Shine.
Whilst Jade had some time available between projects, she ran some sessions with our Shimmer and Shine students across our three schools, all about dreams.

CHENIN (SHINE ALUMNI) - PHOTOGRAPHER
Chenin is a Shine alumni, busy mum to two gorgeous little ones, and self taught photographer who has launched into business life, and is now a highly respected small business owner and photographer in the Midwest.
Chenin has been volunteering her time to enable our photoshoots for girls in our Geraldton and Mount Magnet programs. She uses this opportunity to also talk to our girls about her own journey from Shine girl to the woman she is today.
The photos you see on our website have been captured by Chenin in our 2024 photoshoots which were themed and designed by the students themselves.
We are so proud of Chenin and feel so lucky to have continue to engage with our program, and inspire our girls.
